Colorescience does not conduct any animal testing, and we require non-animal testing statements on all raw materials before final formal approval.

Colorescience formulas are 100% paraben free. In addition, all Colorescience products are also 100% free from phthalates, synthetic fragrance, animal testing, talc, dyes, mineral oils, drying alcohols and chemical sunscreen.

Our SPF products are safe to apply to six months and older. As with all sunscreen products, consult your physician for use on children under six months of age. All Total Protection™ products use only non-chemical zinc oxide and/or titanium dioxide as sunscreen active ingredients.

For individuals who are pregnant, lactating or planning to become pregnant, it is always best to check with your physician to advise on which products and ingredients should be avoided. We have full ingredients lists for all our products on our website so you can cross-reference. We also always recommend speaking to your physician to make sure there is nothing you may have heightened sensitivity to.

EnviroScreen® Technology is proprietary to Colorescience. EnviroScreen® Technology uses patented active ingredients, Zinc Oxide and Titanium Dioxide, which create a barrier preventing free radical formation and oxidative stress. These patented actives are combined with specialty ingredients that, together, work synergistically to protect skin from damage caused by exposure to UVA/UVB rays, pollution, blue light (also known as High Energy Visible, or HEV, light), and infrared radiation.

It really depends on your personal preference. The products were not designed to replace your foundation or offer full coverage. Total Protection Face Shield SPF 50 Glow is a golden-champagne formula that gives you lit-from-within look to any skin type. Total Protection Face Shield SPF 50 Bronze blends invisibly into darker skin tones and delivers a boost of luminosity and warmth to lighter skin tones. Total Protection Face Shield SPF 50 Medium-Original is a neutral peachy shade that blends seamlessly into all skin tones.

The micas that Colorescience uses are ethically sourced from various parts of the world, including Japan and the United States. Mica is not a derivative of asbestos. Our mica vendors adhere to global regulations pertaining to the quality and safety of cosmetic ingredients. The mica used in Colorescience products is mined and processed to meet consistent standards of high quality, safety and aesthetics. Our mica passes or exceeds the standards for heavy metal and microbial testing.

The FDA has established requirements for all sunscreens to go through stability testing to assure products are stable and have appropriate expiry dating. Products with less than three years real-time stability testing must include an expiry date on their packaging per federal regulations. After the product passes three year real-time stability testing then a company is no longer required to include an expiry date as the testing supports stability for at least three years.

If you experience an adverse reaction, please follow the instructions in our online Returns Portal to complete the Adverse Reaction Form and return it to us at info@colorescienceuk.com so we can report this. Once the form is completed in full and received, we can process a refund or exchange.

You can find full ingredients for each product on the product pages of this website, but we advise checking with your physician before purchasing if you’re unsure if a product is suitable to use.

You will be able to track your order with the code included in your dispatch confirmation email. If you are not home to sign for your parcel, please contact your courier directly to divert the parcel e.g. leave with neighbour or at a safe place or rearrange delivery times.

As a Colorescience customer, you can submit written reviews. We encourage you to share your opinions, both favourable and critical.

We do not remove reviews because they are critical. However, we may not approve reviews that are in breach of our acceptance policy such as:

Profanity or spiteful remarksObscene or distasteful contentFeedback about the safety of ingredients and products. We may edit reviews to remove claims that may be barred under FDA or EU regulations and to clarify inaccuracies (for example, mentioning an incorrect ingredient). We will not change the star rating on reviews.

To ensure that orders get to our customers as quickly as possible, we start processing orders as soon as they get placed. As a result, it might not always be possible to cancel your order, but if you’d like to make a cancellation, please contact us at info@colorescienceuk.com as soon as possible.

If we are unable to to cancel your order, you can return or exchange within 30 days of delivery provided products are unused, sealed and in their original packaging.

All orders are shipped with Signed For DHL Overnight Service. 

Orders over £80 qualify for free delivery, and for orders under £80 there will be a postage charge of £3.50. 

Orders are processed and dispatched on business days only (Monday to Friday, excluding bank holidays). Orders received after 12 noon will be processed on the next business day. Orders placed between 12 noon Friday – Sunday, will be processed on the following Monday (excluding bank holidays). Please be aware that the time-scale to process your order may take as long as 3-4 business days before being sent out for delivery.

Changed your mind?

We hope you love your purchases, but if you do want to return or exchange a product you must notify us within 14 days of receipt of your order and can do so within 30 days of delivery provided the products are unused, sealed and in their original packaging.

Please Note: We will not accept the return of any product where the protective seal has been removed.

Faulty items

In the unlikely event that we supply products that are faulty, please notify us within 14 days of delivery by emailing info@colorescienceuk.com and we will arrange collection of the faulty products, and dispatch replacements or a issue a refund.

Adverse reactions

If you experience an adverse reaction, please follow the instructions in our online Returns Portal to complete the averse reaction form and return it to us at info@colorescienceuk.com so we can report this. Once the form is completed in full and received, we can process a refund or exchange.

In the unlikely event that you have received the wrong product, or an item is missing, please contact info@colorescienceuk.com with a photo of the wrong item / telling us what is missing. Please contact us within 14 days of delivery for us to investigate and send replacement items where appropriate.

If we’ve temporarily run out of your favourite product or shade, you can use the ‘notify me’ feature on the product page to receive an email as soon as it’s back in stock!

At the moment we only ship to the mainland UK and Northern Ireland.
