Sunscreen for Oily Skin

Yes, you can wear sunscreen under makeup if you have oily skin. Our Face Shield Matte SPF 50 is perfect for applying as a base under makeup, or alone. If applying under makeup, we recommend applying our Sheer Matte SPF 30 Sunscreen Brush on top to reduce oiliness further and to ensure adequate protection. This also makes reapplying every two hours on-top of makeup easy.

If you have oily skin, look for sunscreens that have oil-free formulations. All of our Sunforgettable sunscreens are formulated to be oil-free, meaning that they won’t further contribute to grease and shine.
